<<Un ricamo in corda dorata unisce simbolicamente due estremità (le sponde di un fiume, i bordi di una linea di confine, i due lati di un sentiero, i margini di una ferita…) come metafora di riconnessione e tessitura. Scegliamo di abitare questa incrinatura per provare ad intrecciarne i fili in una trama installativa e gestuale. Una capanna, riparo fortuito; un giardino di piccoli fiori d’oro che sbocciano dall’acqua; un grande uovo ed un drago immaginario da cui nasce una creatura metà umana metà animale. Il blu dell’acqua e del cielo, il rosso di radici nodose, il biancore delle pietre dell’alveo fluviale, la preziosità dell’oro degli oggetti, ne sono la cifra. L’oro come segno di cura, materia che ricuce e ripara ferite – quelle del paesaggio, dell’essere umano, della relazione tra il Pianeta e l’essere umano. L’uso dell’oro rimanda alla pratica giapponese del kintsugi, che letteralmente significa “riparare con l’oro” e che consiste nell’utilizzo di un metallo prezioso per saldare assieme i frammenti di un oggetto rotto>>.

A golden rope embroidery symbolically joins two extremities (as the banks of a river, or the edges of a borderline, or the margins of a wound…), functioning as a metaphor for reconnecting and weaving the territory. We choose to inhabit this rupture to try to weave its threads into an installation and gestural texture.A hut, fortuitous shelter; a garden with small golden flowers blooming from the water; a large egg and an imaginary dragon from which a half-human/half-animal creature rises. The blue of the water and the sky, the red of gnarled roots, the whiteness of the stones on the riverbed, the preciousness of the gold of the objects. The gold functions as a symbol of care, a substance able to repair fractures such as the rifts in our landscapes and more precisely in our relations -as humans- with this damaged Planet Earth. Indeed, the use of gold recalls the Japanese practice of kintsugi, which literally means “repairing with gold” and which consists of using this precious metal to weld together the fragments of a broken object.
